Francis Harris Hedrick

Frances Harris Hedrick, age 98, of Warren, AR died Saturday July 12, at Chapel Woods Nursing Center in Warren. Born June 20, 1916, in Warren, AR a daughter of the late V.B. Harris and Luna Sykes Harris she was a third grade teacher in the Warren Public School system until her retirement after 34 years of service. Frances was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was married to Louis Dickerson Hedrick from October 14, 1937, until his death on January 13, 1976. Also, preceding her in death was a grandson Louis Hedrick, III and brother Sykes Harris.
Survivors include: son Dick Hedrick and spouse Cynthia of Greenwood, SC; daughter daughter Anne Miller and spouse Jack of Warren, AR; grandchildren Amanda Hodges, Michelle Hulett, Melissa Benson, Lauren Utterback; great-grandchildren Thomas Hodges, William Benson, Chalmers Benson, Katie Hulett, Jonathan Hulett and Miller Utterback. Graveside service was 1:30 p.m. Thursday July 17, at Oakland Cemetery. Memorial service was 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 17, at First United Methodist Church followed by reception in the Church fellowship hall. with Rev. Gary Maskell and Rev. Gary Harrison officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Active pallbearers were Bill Wisener, Neil Wisener, Cliff Morgan, French Wynne, Tommy Maxwell, Steve Richardson, Scott Richardson and Bob Plair. Honorary pallbearers were John Cuthbertson, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Dr. Donnie Bryant, Dr. John Durmon, Bryan Martin, Greg Harton, Randall Herring, John Sullivan, Dr. Tom Paulus, Mike Paulus, Vol Ford, David Roddey and Eddie O’Neal.
