Frances A. Smith

Frances A. Smith age 79, of Warren, AR died Friday, April 11th, at the St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock, AR.  She was born August 13th, 1934 in Brown, Oklahoma a daughter of the late John Dewey Burr and Florence Evelyn Stintson Burr. She was retired from LaDonna’s Sports Ware and a member of the Church of Christ, she loved to cook and was a excellent quilter which was her enjoyment.  Also preceding her in death was her husband William Lee “Billy” Smith whom she married May 30, 1951 in Durant, OK and he died January 5th, 2013, 3 brothers M. J. Burr, J.W. Burr and J.C. Burr and a sister Bernice Childs.

She is survived by 4 sons,  Jimmy Ray Smith and spouse Anne, Billy Potts Smith and spouse Karen, and Keith Allen Smith and spouse Beverly all of Warren, AR.  Jerry Don Smith and spouse Joyce, Monticello, AR.  A daughter Carolyn Smith Ashcraft and spouse John Ed, Pansy, AR.   A brother Raymond Burr, Ft. Worth, TX and 3 sisters Irene Binns, Little Rock, AR and Mildred Proctor, Dallas, TX and Elsie Britton.  13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were 4:00pm Saturday, April 12th at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Charles Wooley officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jeremy Smith, Jarrod Smith, Sam Smith, Brian Smith, Christopher Smith and Buddy Ray Burr.
